Environmental Engineer Vacancy

1st November 2018

Environmental EngineerĀ  –

Sanctus is currently looking for an Environmental Engineer with circa 2 to 3 years relevant experience to join our friendly team to work on our increasing number of exciting projects. The role will require flexibility, ingenuity and hard work but will equally be rewarded as such to reflect the individual skill set of the successful candidate.

Sanctus is a small but rapidly expanding company offering consultancy and contracting services to a wide range of repeat clients, from small to international developers, to main contractors, land owners and local authorities. Due to our size and ethos, we are not tied down by time consuming and distracting red tape such as that imposed by large consultancies, and so allowing us to focus on achieving the goals, within the timescales provided and on budget.

The role will be to provide engineering support, input into, and the completion of a wide-ranging environmental consultancy, site investigation and remediation contracts, along with the provision of technical input at design / tender stage and onsite project management.

The ideal candidate will have: a relevant post graduate degree and experience of the supervision of ground investigations, including the undertaking of soil descriptions to current standard. The ideal candidate would also possess both excellent written (including health and safety documentation and interpretive reporting) and verbal communication skills; and be willing to work away from home from time to time, potentially at short notice. A keen eye for detail and the ability to take responsibility on site would both be beneficial. Whilst remediation experience would be an advantage, it is certainly not a necessity as we would expect the successful candidate to be able to adapt their existing skill set to the projects undertaken by Sanctus.

Continued professional development by the successful candidate would be encouraged, through the attendance at suitable and appropriate training courses or seminars, subsequent pier discussions will be encouraged to ensure knowledge gained is passed onto colleagues. Working towards Chartership will be encouraged.

The competitive salary, non-contributory pension and other benefits are open for discussion based on the added value and experience that the successful candidate would bring to Sanctus.

All interested candidates should forward their CVs to our Geo-Environmental Manager Mark Hawkins at mhawkins@sanctusltd.co.uk
