Sanctus land £4.5m remediation contract for former Glynwed Foundry

Sanctus has been awarded the £4.5m contract to remediate the former Glynwed Foundry in Risca, Newport. The works include site clearance, demolition and crushing of below ground structures, Japanese Knotweed eradication, soil and groundwater remediation, earthworks, offsite disposal of surplus soils and RIC ground improvement. Sanctus has also been appointed as Environmental Consultant for the project.
Works started onsite in March 2010 and are due to be completed later this year.
